Due to flooding from the recent rains, the scouts cannot take the "Wild Cave Tour" at this weekend's trip to Longhorn Caverns State Park. Instead, we will plan the activity to be a cave walking tour in the park.
If this change of activity effects your plans to attend the campout, please notify Tim Kohn ASAP (tkohn@investorsbrokerage.com) so that the adult leaders can plan accordingly. |
| [16 May 12] :: NECESSARY INFORMATION FOR COMPLETING RANK ADVANCEMENTS |
Several of the rank advancements need documentation. This documentation may include:
Troop meeting attendance.
Completed service hours.
Time in a previous rank.
Time served in a Troop leadership position.
Confirmation of merit badge completion.
This information is required for the scoutmaster conference and each Board of Review in order to properly get the scout(s) signed off on completing the requirements.
Please make sure that you:
**Document your service hours in your scout book if you have the 2010 or newer version and get a signature from an adult who was there.
**Sign the attendance sheet weekly and get a record of attendance from Mr. Collum(Awards Chair)
**Have Mr. Collum verify that you have been in a particular rank or leadership position for the required time.
**Finally,See Mr. Collum for a signature that you have the required merit badges completed to advance to the next rank.
Without the above information signed off by the appropriate leaders, you can not sit for a Scoutmaster conference or a Board of Review |

Do you have some Merit badge handbooks that you purchased in the past and are no longer using??
Would you be willing to purchace and donate some merit badge handbooks to the Troop library?? (They are available at the Scout Shop)
Great !! Please do so and bring them to me at the Troop Hut so that we can update and catalog our Merit Badge Handbooks.
